➋ figure problems

psychicteensI have a whole fucking list as long as my arm of figmas I want and need to buy, but sometimes something comes along that makes you rip the list up, burn the remains, and piss on the ashes.
A fucking Accelerator PVC.
Now we've had these before. We've had prize figures and a prize nendo, but these are made my lesser known and lesser quality companies.
This one is made by Alter, who has made really good fucking shit. It's in their Altair line which is strictly male character figures, which are also really fucking good too.
This is some good fucking shit, okay.
They've only released a teaser promo and then the day after a full promo of the prototype along with some other shit I don't give a fuck about. There's rumors that it'll be exhibited at either Spring Wonder Fest or MegaHobby, and this is the beginning of a male figure line for the To Aru cast.
I'm just going to list all compliments and concerns and comments in an orderly matter.
Compliments
1) There is now an actual, non-prize, standard PVC figure for Accelerator.
2) This is made by a good company.
3) The posing and sculpt are fucking wonderful.
4) He has a base. The base is beautiful and just how I wanted.
5) He is sitting which I personally love because if he was just standing what would the point be?? It's a lot more interesting and since the base is (usually) detachable I can make him sit on stuff.
6) He's really interesting sculpt and pose and base wise and leaves a lot of room for photo ops and display!! If he was a boring figure I would begrudgingly buy him so. ALTER KNOWS HOW TO MAKE ME FORK OVER THE CASH.
7) His fucking face is perfect. All the Accelerator figures so far have really overdone his expressions and I really hate it. I know over half of his fangirls love him just because he's insane but I just really love the subtly of his expression. He looks his best when he's not trying to hard and Alter fucking realized it and nailed it, god fucking dammit.
Complaints
1) A lot of details do look off but this is a prototype so I'm sure they'll fix it.
2) I'm kinda dissapointed about the hand turning on his electrode collar. For one, it's not accurate. Also, the hand itself just... looks off. The later will probably be fixed though, through improvises to the final product, but I really do hope they change the hand sculpt.
Comments
1) Everyone keeps talking about a interchangeable face, which I really don't want. If I wanted to change the face I would buy a figma. The interchangeability just causes lines and inconsistency and this isn't what I want from a PVC figure.
2) I'm really hoping this line continues and we get a Touma, Hamazura, and even a Tsuchimikado figure. I have a feeling it'll stop after Touma, though. Poor Hamazura, you come into the story as the third main character too late...
3) I'm also hoping that the popularity of this figure will make Max Factory produce a Figma of him.
