Summer Wonderfest came and went and the entire time, I had no wifi or data, and this turned out to be better than Winter WonFes, so I'll just try to catch up! This WonFes was chock full of Figmas, the only figure type I collect (other than the very seldom time I just have to buy a PVC or Nendoroid) so this was a pretty good one! I've been disappointed with the figmas coming out recently, since they were all for series I never cared about or even heard of.
I'm only going to be posting Figmas that I want to buy! If you want to see the entire list of figures shown at WonFes, I recommend sites like TOMOPOP, Plastickitty, Nendonasia, and MyFigureCollection.

First up is the TV Anime Version of Dead Master from Black Rock Shooter

As of right now, she and her Nendoroid are an uncolored prototype, but she still looks great. The folds of her dress and veil are beautiful and her Dead Scythe is as dangerous looking as ever (I can already feel my fingertips hurting). I'm hoping her veil will become transparent like her Nendo before the final release, but I'm pretty much sold on her. I can't wait until she gets colored and we get to see her promo pics with some more accessories and faceplates.
Now, theres quite a lot of backlash against her and her other series mates because theyre from an anime version of an OVA for Black Rock Shooter, and a lot of people like her OVA design and OVA Version figma a lot better.
I have neither of these Dead Master figmas, and to be honest, I really want both of them. While the TV Version Black Rock Shooter figma (nor the Video Game Version) didn't do enough for me to have a duplicate of the OVA Version figma, there are enough differences in the Dead Master figures to make me want both. If I had to choose one, it'd be pretty difficult, but I might go for the TV Version because of the recent figma upgrades. The OVA figmas were released in 2010, and while they aren't bad, the newer figmas have a lot more going for them.

Next up is another Black Rock Shooter gal, the TV Version of Black Gold Saw

I'm less keen on this one. While her design from the OVA hasn't changed as much as Dead Master, her OVA Version figma looks a lot more appealing to me. However, the old figma, which ran for around 30-40 bucks, is now 100 bucks on most sites I've seen, and just because of that I'll probably settle for the newer one. She's, once again, just a uncolored prototype, so they might make enough improvements for me to really like her.

There has also been a Chariot Nendoroid announced, which I'm hoping will lead to a figma version of her! Finally, a Black Rock Shooter figma that's new and not a design rehash that'll get a lot of backlash!

Next up is Vocaloid's Hatsune Miku in her 2012 GOOD SMILE Racing Queen outfit!

She's in her final release, already having a promo page with pictures on Good Smile's website. She was announced last Winter WonFes, and is the answer to everyone (like me) who missed out on getting the 2011 Racing Queen figma. As much as I want them both, I'm more than happy to settle on this cutie, despite the fact she lacks a trophy, scoreboard, and a more adult design from First Win Version. She's already up for limited order until Early September, and has a Nendoroid and uncolored prototype Scale figure on the way!

Next up is Nitro Super Sonic's Sonico!

Sonico is victim to the thing I hate most about this hobby: straight up pornographic anime figures. I always found her really cute, but always a little bit disgusted by how her character was used, so I'm really glad we're getting a PG-13 (she's wearing a skirt, so she has panties) figma and Nendoroid of her. I'm sold, even if her boobs look really wonky and she seems really unmoveable. I'm hoping she'll come with a alternate hoodie that goes up and her guitar, but we'll have to see!

Next up is Gunslinger Girl's Henrietta!

I honestly haven't seen this anime or planned to watch it, but I might watch it just to buy this figma. Her outfit is really cute, and I do like gunslinging figmas. So, I'll just keep an eye on her for now.

Next up is the Persona series' Aegis in her Persona 4: the Ultimate gear!

This solves my problem. I've been going back and forth between getting the original Aegis figma or her Heavy Version figma, but this new one just looks better. The only issue I have is handling her heavy weapons: I can't even handle Black Rock Shooter's rock cannon that well, but it still looks the most promising. They're also making another P4U character into a figma, but I'm still on the fence about her. I'm hoping they're still making Persona 4 figmas, and maybe get around to the rest of the Persona 3 cast.

Finally, Madoka Magica's Ultimate Madoka!

I joked about this when they announced her PVC figure, but apparently Good Smile Company wants to make as much money as they can off Madoka's popularity. I honestly though this was a cruel photoshop joke when I first saw it, but it's real. It'll be expensive as hell, but it's real and she looks just as good as the scale figure. I'm really excited to complete my Madoka set with her!

And that's it. I'm kinda bummed I didn't see more Persona or any Index figmas, but this is a great haul nontheless!
